What does SLSC do?
We are focused on the long term development of each swimmer. Depending on the age and skill level of the swimmer, they are taught the skills of competitive swimming. These skills range from basic kicking and body position drills all the way to physiological training for nationally ranked athletes.
When can I join?
The swim season generally begins and ends with the school season (second week in September to the middle of June), but you can join at any time.
Why should I join?
Why shouldn't you? Swimming produces great overall physical fitness and, unlike many other sports, is low impact ,so young athletes are not at risk for long term injuries. Also, swimmers travel to many out of town swim meets. Besides, swimming is FUN!
